BECOME A CERTIFIED CAT CARETAKER.

Join our Community Cat Program and help care for our managed colonies across Safety Harbor.

What is the Community Cat Program?

Our Community Cat Program helps stabilize colony populations through TNVR and ongoing care. Certified caretakers play a key role by feeding, monitoring, and supporting cats who have already been trapped, neutered, vaccinated, and safely returned to their outdoor homes.

Caretaker Certification Program

Our training program makes sure volunteers feel confident caring for their assigned colony and supporting our TNVR efforts.

1

Apply

Fill out our short application form so we can learn more about your schedule, experience, and comfort level with outdoor cats. Once submitted, our team will reach out to schedule your training.

2

Training

Attend a brief orientation that covers TNVR basics, safe feeding practices, colony behavior, and the core responsibilities of a certified caretaker. This session prepares you for your first on-site visit.

3

Shadow

Visit one of our colonies alongside an experienced caretaker to see the routine in action. You’ll learn feeding setup, monitoring, and record keeping in real time.

4

Get Certified

After training and shadowing, you’ll be officially certified and assigned to a colony that matches your availability. Certification means you’re trusted to care for your colony independently with ongoing support from our team.
