Our
Mission

Our mission follows a three-part approach that protects community cats while supporting the people and environments around them.

We work to reduce overpopulation at its source, rescue cats that need medical care, safety, or adoption, and return unadoptable community cats to the stable territories they depend on. This approach lowers conflict for neighbors, protects local wildlife, and supports a healthier and more balanced ecosystem for everyone.

Our work has already resulted in more than 1,000 cats rescued, over 2,000 births prevented, more than 1,500 lives saved, and more than $400,000 in community savings, showing the scale of impact this approach creates.

Reduce.

Reduction is the heart of our work because it protects wildlife, prevents new litters, and creates healthier neighborhoods for everyone. By focusing on TNVR, we limit the number of cats living outdoors and lower the pressures placed on local ecosystems. This approach creates harmony between community cats, their caregivers, and the neighborhoods they share.

Rescue.

We rescue cats of all types when they need help, whether they are injured, sick, abandoned, or unsafe where they are. Many rescued cats receive medical care, enter foster homes, and move toward adoption when appropriate. This work protects vulnerable cats and strengthens the long term wellbeing of the larger community.

Return.

Cats that cannot be safely or ethically adopted are returned to the exact territory where they were found. Fixed community cats stay within a small, stable area centered on their food source, which limits roaming and reduces their impact on the wider ecosystem.

Our caretakers monitor each colony to ensure the cats remain healthy and to prevent new unfixed cats from entering the area, which keeps the colony contained and maintains balance with the surrounding community.
