ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT.

Cats of Safety Harbor is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We believe accessibility is essential to serving our community, sharing our mission, and making sure every neighbor can connect with the work we do.

Standards We Aim to Meet

We strive to align our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These guidelines help ensure that digital content is usable, perceivable, and understandable for people of all abilities. While we are continually improving our site, our goal is to provide a fully accessible experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Steps We Have Taken

As part of our ongoing effort to improve accessibility, we have:

  • Used tools to identify accessibility issues

  • Updated color contrast to meet recommended accessibility ratios

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Reviewed heading structure for clarity and screen reader compatibility

  • Ensured site navigation works with keyboard-only access

  • Reduced motion and animation where possible

  • Added captions and transcripts to multimedia when available

We are continuing to improve our content and digital tools as we grow.

Third-Party Content

Some parts of our website may include embedded content or tools from third-party providers (such as donation processors, maps, or social media feeds). While we work to partner with providers who support accessibility best practices, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content outside our control.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As our programs expand and new content is added, we will continue reviewing our site and making updates to improve usability for all visitors.

As a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are continually improving our digital tools as resources allow, and we appreciate your patience as we work toward greater accessibility
